HOW TO PLAY

STEP 1:

Randomly draw one of twelve diverse shitty family members.

You will role-play this character for the entire game!

STEP 2:

Randomly draw one of twelve Hidden Traits.

These traits remain secret until the end of the game, and shape how you discuss various topics. It is your job to guess other players traits as the game progresses.

STEP 3:

Randomly draw one of sixty Shitty Habits cards.

This card is visible to all players. If you add this habit to your role-play throughout the game, you earn extra points!

STEP 4:

Take a Shitty Topic card and have each player share their opinion, thoughts, or an anecdote.

These topics can be bizarre, controversial, or may offer a “family challenge”. If the topic doesn’t elicit a strong correlation to your trait, just have fun with it!

STEP 5:

After every round, players will reward  “second helpings” tokens to one other player that role-played well. These points are kept track of on your scorecard and help your chances of victory.

As the game progresses, based on players’ discussion, attempt to figure out everyone else’s hidden trait!

STEP 6:

After ten topics have been discussed, reveal Hidden Traits, tally second helpings, and crown the shittiest family member!
